Please find one of the most unusual and amazing and highly decorative Phonographs ever built. It is a KLINGSOR Phonograph.
Made in Germany around the turn of the century .It is well over 100 years old and still in perfect working order.
This Phonograph in mahogany case measures 43 x 38 x 86 cm (17 x 15 x 34 inch).
For those who do not know these Klingsors I have to explain. The sound go’ s from the soundbox through the tone arm into the horn. In front of the opening of the horn are strings like a harp.
In the 1910 people would believe that the strings would vibrate, as the sound would leave the horn. We probably all know that this is not possible; it was just a design and a sales trick to sell these Klingsor machines. Nowadays the collectors love these phonographs for their highly decorative values.
Again it is in perfect working order. ( The motor has been replaced.)
Iff you like European machines than this is a must for your collection.
